Top Conservative State to Live: Montana
Big sky country is similar in many respects to Wyoming. For those that want to live out in country, its hard to beat. Great environment, awesome summer and winter recreation, 4 seasons climate, and a reasonable, if not slightly elevated taxes.
Montana has seen some swings in politics with democrats gaining ground earlier thanks to a lot of California transplants. The conservatives have now regained ground and seem to have reestablished control. Growth has slowed down but may be reenergized by the recent Taylor Sheridan shows that highlight Montana. As the Washington exodus picks up, Montana may experience more growth due to proximity and similarity.
Health care, like Wyoming is sparse but adequate if you live near a population center or are willing to drive.
A few larger population centers give montana a leg up on Wyoming in terms of culture, art, shopping, and sports.
The general economy is solid, but once again not near the levels of our top 2 states. As we said above, climate is 4 seasons but like Wyoming be prepared for very cold winters and plenty of snowfall. Last but not least, cost of living and housing vary from cities to more remote areas, but are slightly higher than the other 3 top states.
Montana is a beautiful state and is getting a lot of renewed attention at this time. Minus a coastline and/or a major city, it has a lot to offer that will make Washington folks feel right at home.
